After he trialled 29.35 here on a Saturday morning I thought that he could get down to around the 29 second mark and maybe one day break it, but he’s done it a little bit earlier than I thought. He got a clear run and once they told me he’d run 18.59 off the back I thought he might break it and he did. When he first started he wasn’t brilliant out of the box but the more they race the better they come and be more competitive early which is good.”

Flash Of Light started as a $2.60 favorite and then just continued to do well in the race to secure a great victory. Daughter of Premier Fantasy actually finished one and three-quarter lengths in front of Pulp, the rising young racer.

Flash Of Light and Zambola Bale jumped almost perfectly at the start of the race and then dominated it until middle part. However, Craig Chappelow-trained Pulp was able to get in and also perform well to stop one of the two from dominating. Pulp earned the second place while Zambola Bale only got the third place. In future if we can’t get to our destination when we want to we simply won’t go.”

For Phillips, it was meant then that the dog be finally beaten. But naturally they must have wanted Damek to win and remain undefeated.

Damek will race at The Meadows next Saturday night. Thus, the Tasmanian greyhound was brought to vet.

“We have had him to the vet and if everything is Ok he’ll be back in Melbourne next week for a race at The Meadows next Saturday night.”

From seven starts in Tasmania, Damek is undefeated. Well it is a bit disheartening to know that at Sandown Park the greyhound had his first ever defeat. But then as Phillips said, it is racing. Any racer can actually simply be beaten.

Arsonist actually started as the hot $1.90 favorite and lived up to everyone’s expectation and that was to upstage Enry Walt ($4.70). Walt is popular being the Gary Ennis-trained Group 1 Silver Chief winner.

Arsonist indeed started perfectly, getting out from box one to swiftly go straight to the front. But early on, Iceman Raikkonen was able to settle second. However, Enry Walt eventually snatched the second position and tried to stay behind Arsonist to chase her down greatly. And the two battled to get to the end of the race first. But Arsonist was trapped in the rails while Enry Walt was able to make his way to the outside and be free to go through to the end of the race.

But of course, Arsonist stayed strong and kept her confidence high. And she managed to win the race however Enry Walt was also eager to make it in the race and so set a winning margin of just a length.

Arsonist was able to complete the 515m race in a time of 29.88. And she was able to give her trainer Heather Collins her first ever Group race win and prize money of more than $32,000.

Arsonist is still with unbeatable record, just like Tasmania’s Damek. She holds the perfect record of four wins from four career starts.

Trainer Collins must be so proud of Arsonist for her achievements. Currently, she has four wins from career starts and earned lots of money. She has accomplished these just so well.
