Lister explained: “I’ve booked him for a trial at Wimbledon next Wednesday. It made more sense as I’ve a few to go down and the extra sprint trial at Nottingham won’t have done him any harm – it was a good run and a good blow for him as he hasn’t had that many trials back. It should also stop all the nonsense about him having a bruised toe or whatever that was on the internet. People should be really careful what they write because it gets believed whether it’s true or not and can cause all sorts of problems.”

Well, it seemed that Lister was sick and tired of all the issues on Boher Paddy’s condition and just wanted to put an end to them. The trainer must have known that the racing greyhound was said to be not fit because of bruised toe and the likes and wanted to show to everyone that he is totally well without any problem.

A lot of greyhound racing enthusiasts must be really surprised to see Boher Paddy at Nottingham’s pre-meeting trials session. But, everyone just proven that the racing greyhound can really race well, and yes, truly fit without bruised toe or whatsoever. Everyone must be also thankful that he can truly race properly and indeed really fit without any problem. He has been just another racing greyhound not to miss in races. At least, he made it to Nottingham’s pre-meeting trials session and even did well there. Everything said was not true. Lister and own racing greyhound proved none can be considered true.

“She’d trapped better than normal and was in between runners at the first bend,” Lister explained. “Then she just dropped out and swung right off. Thankfully we managed to stop her before she got all the way round. It’s hard to say exactly what the problem is other than it’s in her back-end. Hopefully it’s muscular, but we’ll get her hock x-rayed to be sure.”

Before the Monday’s blow, the April 2008 bitch can really be proud of her five-out-of-eight record over six bends.

Well, anything can happen in a race. A racer can even get an injury in an instant. Just too bad they can but then of course nothing can be done with this. The thing is the ones behind the racer must just have the capacity to give the right kind of care to the racer say after an injury.

Good thing, one man behind racer like Droopys Alma has the capacity to give the right kind of care to the bitch naturally just after getting an injury. Despite getting an injury the racer can still be considered lucky to have someone behind her who can just give her the right kind of care and eventually be well in no time. Just lucky to have Lister around to give her the right kind of care in times of injury.

Wing won in the final at Nottingham. Not to mention that he actually won with a style.

Charge of David Pruhs started just right and then went on to get the lead and of course beat Hillcross Pluto. He defeated Hillcross Pluto by more than four lengths in 17.83s time. Because of great drive, he had his eleventh win in his last dozen outings at the famous Colwick Park.

In the heats of the Stadium Bookmakers Standard over 500m, Pruhs was actually able to land a double. Well, it was indeed because of Bourne Masons and then Bang The Gate.

We can just consider Pruhs lucky for having amazing stayers. Naturally, there is Rotar Wing that is one of the greyhound racers these days that we consider really promising. And there is Bourne Masons and then Bang The Gate that made him satisfied and complete.

And Rotar Wing could just have more wins and Pruhs is just lucky. Rotar Wing is a talented greyhound racer, really promising. He could just go a long way and become one of the most loved racers for being really good.

Pruhs must feel lucky himself. He has Rotar Wing that could just have more wins and it would surely be just for him.

But of course, Rotar Wing is also fortunate to have Pruhs. Most likely, he is not as good as he is today if not for Pruhs. The man has been surely good to him, actually done everything to just make him a racer he is today.

In the early stages of the 500m event at Nottingham, the Christine Parker-trained Droopys Ranger blocked fellow heat winner Rock It Jazz. And eventually, he managed to get the total command in the event as he bended his legs clearly in style.

It seemed back then that Droopys Ranger can really bring home the bacon. He showed confidence, and for this he actually came home five and a half lengths in 30.07sec to the good of Mcgahon Toots.

While All That Noise was only able to get the third place ahead of the exhausted Rock It Jazz.

Christine Parker must have privately trained Droopys Ranger so well that he made it to have back to back wins. He must be in a better form, in a better condition, to be able to follow up his fastest-of-the-round victory in a Heat with a significant success in the £1,000 final of the Caffreys Futurity Puppy Cup at Nottingham.

But then, the credit can also go to Droopys Ranger which indeed has been giving it all when in the tracks.

It is not yet over, the Christine Parker-trained greyhound might have something more to show and so more back to back wins can be expected. Neither did it stop in a Heat nor in an event like the £1,000 final of the Caffreys Futurity Puppy Cup at Nottingham. Just more big accomplishments we can expect from Christine Parker and Droopys Ranger.

Dave Firmager-trained greyhound broke well and was able to manage to stay evident to the bend, graciously then tracking the Was Not Me along the back straight before making it to the front at the third turn and rushed to beat Beautiful City in 29.13 secs by three and a half lengths.

And in connection to the event, there have been good pointers on the line which are for the forthcoming Betfred Eclipse and Stadium Bookmakers National Sprint. Winning efforts must be noted coming from Jimmy Lollie of Seamus Cahill (17.79sec), Ballylacey Boy of David Pruhs (17.80sec), Officer Donagh of Chris Allsopp (17.85sec) over two, and Farloe Lee of Charlie Lister (29.60sec) over four bends.

Lister can also be remembered giving pre-meeting trials to Bandicoot Tipoki (17.90sec) over 305m and Farloe Reason (30.19sec) over 500m. Both are the fastest in their respective distances. Other 500m trials that are also worth noting were from Farloe Razl of Lister (30.25sec) and Eye Eye Pickle (30.26sec) that is a Mark Wallis-trained racer.

Most of the greyhound racing events these days are actually action-packed. Credit should of course go to the greyhounds that have been giving their best every time they race as well as to their trainers who have been supporting them in their every run to success. More to come from Quest and the rest of the members of the industry. We can all expect more good things to come, things for us to enjoy for sure.

Ellis is being worked out by Steve Race with the hopes of being ready for the William Hill All England Cup heats at the track just a week later. The greyhound was remembered having a broken metatarsal during summer and just recently having a bout of coughing and a strained hock. But despite everything that he has gone through, he was able to please trainer Race by having a time of 17.92sec (normal) in a 305m sprint trial before racing on Monday at Nottingham.

Race seemed really optimistic with regards to Ellis possible performance at Newcastle all because of what the greyhound has shown at Nottingham. The trainer actually said that, “it’s been a bit of a nightmare with him really”. And in addition, “and I’m probably a couple of weeks behind where I’d like to be. But I couldn’t have asked more from the Nottingham trial and hopefully he’ll carry that forward to Newcastle. Obviously he’s going to be a bit short of his best going into the competition, but I’ve got to get the runs into him because I want to go for the [Betfred] Eclipse at Nottingham after that”.

A greyhound racer may actually get injuries and illnesses at any time. Perfect example of which is the case of Ellis, the greyhound got broken metatarsal and then after a bout of coughing and a strained hock. But then a greyhound racer is expected to still come out a winner after sickness and Race’s greyhound didn’t fail to.
