It was revealed to supporters of Mark Wallis that the trainer was very glad to actually know that his very own Blonde Fletch was the most impressive winner at Monmore on Monday afternoon and just for the heat two in the £7,500 Category One Ladbrokes Stayers Classic. And they must be also so happy that their favorite was just very delighted to know about his racing greyhound’s accomplishment. It was said that that the very talented started and of course ended the race really well. Reports revealed that the racing greyhound managed to begin to run accordingly and just continued running with good pace to be under eight lengths and with 37.37sec.

Well, Wallis must be also thankful to be given the chance to also be into greyhound racing. He has been with as wonderful as Blonde Fletch and has been experiencing amazing victories. It must be true that the trainer will once again be supporting any event that will also be helpful to greyhound racing, to also show he is simply grateful. Last March, he has supported Daren Johnson’s Run for Charity that was planned to actually raise £100,000 for charity.

Wallis said: “This is going to be very hard but he isn’t going to give up and is such a great guy I wasn’t really surprised when he told me what he was going and why. Both charities do a great job and I hope that the greyhound world really gets behind him. Trainers can collect from owners on Sundays and tracks should play their part too. We’ll be catching up with him along the way and trying to run for at least part of the way!”

May Wallis be forever so happy and truly thankful. Everyone can just hope that he will be blessed even more while into greyhound racing.

Trainers Still Given Chance to Trial for Betfair Trainers’ Championship

Several reports have revealed that some trainers have been quite uninterested of submitting complete list of their racers for the trial of the much awaited £10,000 Betfair Trainers’ Championship. But it was also said that despite of them being quite indifferent, they were still given chance to trial for next week’s Championship. They were given opportunity to submit the needed list until Thursday.

Well, the trainers that were said quite uninterested of submitting complete list of their racers for the trial of the much awaited £10,000 Betfair Trainers’ Championship were revealed to be Chris Allsopp, Seamus Cahill, Charlie Lister, Pat Rosney, Mark Wallis and Paul Young. And their supporters after knowing about their being quite indifferent became bit worried. But there must be a reason for them not still submitting their list of racers for the trial of the big greyhound race. And yes, they were given the opportunity to still submit their very own list.

Racing manager Gary Matthews said: “It made no real sense to ask for teams on Monday when we had a big trial session midweek. This way everyone gets a chance for one more look round before selecting their eight dogs.”

Hopefully, after Thursday, everyone will get to discover that all of the trainers mentioned made the most out of the chance given to them. May everyone get to know that all of them submitted their list of racers for the trial of the much awaited £10,000 Betfair Trainers’ Championship. Of course, they have great followers and they will be all saddened if they failed to be part of the huge event. But then, of course when everything is fine for sure they will submit the needed list. However, if they can’t do so before Thursday, then maybe the next Championship they will make it.

Ballymac William Pleased Connections With Wimbledon Workout

At Wimbledon on Wednesday, the famous Ballymac William, for a workout, indeed rendered a very good performance. And for such, he has just pleased connections.

Ballymac William actually accomplished a 28.68s spin at more than 480 meters at Wimbledon. And at the end of April, because of the commendable accomplishment, he is indeed now likely to have his place in the much-awaited, most prestigious williamhill.com Derby.

The Mark Wallis-trained Adageo was also around at Wimbledon and actually beaten Aero Bolt by two and three-quarter lengths. And he just improved time of Ballymac William.

Ballymac William’s connections must be so happy with the greyhound’s achievement at Wimbledon on Wednesday. They were pleased. Well, they actually must be, the greyhound made it and he was against other great racers when he did so.

Just all the best for Ballymac William! May he continue to do well, to please connections. We wish him strength so he can actually perform well, make a lot of people happy.

Kinda Ready Back in Form With Trainer Mark Wallis

One of the first good news enjoyed by greyhound racing fans and bettors this new year – Kinda Ready is now back in form with the ever popular trainer Mark Wallis. He is likely to be in form and even moving forward towards defending his crown at Wimbledon this coming summer.

Just like most of us, the famous greyhound took some time to rest during the Christmas season. He actually had several months to rest and he spent them with breeders Ian and Brenda Seymour. But now he is back to continue running in the tracks, to continue giving everyone into greyhound racing and betting the fun and excitement that only good races can bring.

Wallis said just few days ago, “he came back to Imperial Kennels just before Christmas and looks particularly well. It’s lovely to have him back. Obviously, with the weather as bad as it is at present, there’s not much we can do with him.”

After few months of rest, though Kinda Ready seems really back in form, he still needs to go through preparation. At Wimbledon, he will be facing some of the best greyhounds and he will actually have to beat all of them to be able to keep his crown. For sure even him, he would want to, he is indeed a smart greyhound.

But of course, they are still some months away from the competition at Wimbledon. Kinda Ready and trainer Wallis still have ample of time to prepare. Hopefully the weather gets better soon so the two can finally start working on some things out. Kinda Ready just came back from vacation and he might be in form because of getting some rest but might still need to stretch out his legs to be able to make good leaps at Wimbledon this coming summer.

Mark Wallis and the £5,000-to-the-winner Christmas Festival Stayers at Monmore

Mark Wallis hopes to continue giving 2009 a blow and so have decided to be a part of the £5,000-to-the-winner Christmas Festival Stayers at Monmore. The champion trainer wants this year to be a memorable one for him and for his team, a year that’s indeed full of action and excitement.

The finals of the event is on Friday which will be live on SIS. It is believed to be supported by three other competitions for dogs, bitches for both 480m, and sprinters for 416m.

Wallis will not actually have Droopys Zach at the said event. Zach had an injury and so is not currently fit for any racing events. But the champion trainer has still lots of great racing greyhounds including Kinda Easy, the St Leger winner, and Corrig Vieri, the Monmore specialist. They are now at their best condition to race.

Wallis will have the two stars at the main event, with hopes of succeeding at it. Well, the champion trainer does have the potential and racing greyhounds to do so. He will most likely excel at the main event.

But of course, aside from Wallis, other great trainers will also be at the event to try their own luck. Really worth mentioning is Jimmy Wright with racer Crown Rover, the Suderland Grand Prix winner but was beaten favorite recently at Doncaster in the finals of the Yorkshire St Leger. The said trainer and his racing greyhound are really a problem to Wallis’ team. They can be a threat to the champion trainer and his racing greyhounds.

However, Wallis is a great trainer and he has been through some really challenging races. And his racing greyhounds, Kinda Easy and Corrig Vieri, always have great potential of winning. Wallis’ team will make it hard for some other teams to make it at the finals of the Christmas Festival Stayers at Monmore.

Quest Successful at Nottingham on Monday

Fabulous Quest once again amazed everyone by proving for another time around that she is far too strong for her rivals. At Nottingham on Monday, she was successful and her rivals on the event were not able to get to hold the Brakes Foodservice Ladies Trophy that is for over 480m.

Dave Firmager-trained greyhound broke well and was able to manage to stay evident to the bend, graciously then tracking the Was Not Me along the back straight before making it to the front at the third turn and rushed to beat Beautiful City in 29.13 secs by three and a half lengths.

And in connection to the event, there have been good pointers on the line which are for the forthcoming Betfred Eclipse and Stadium Bookmakers National Sprint. Winning efforts must be noted coming from Jimmy Lollie of Seamus Cahill (17.79sec), Ballylacey Boy of David Pruhs (17.80sec), Officer Donagh of Chris Allsopp (17.85sec) over two, and Farloe Lee of Charlie Lister (29.60sec) over four bends.

Lister can also be remembered giving pre-meeting trials to Bandicoot Tipoki (17.90sec) over 305m and Farloe Reason (30.19sec) over 500m. Both are the fastest in their respective distances. Other 500m trials that are also worth noting were from Farloe Razl of Lister (30.25sec) and Eye Eye Pickle (30.26sec) that is a Mark Wallis-trained racer.

Most of the greyhound racing events these days are actually action-packed. Credit should of course go to the greyhounds that have been giving their best every time they race as well as to their trainers who have been supporting them in their every run to success. More to come from Quest and the rest of the members of the industry. We can all expect more good things to come, things for us to enjoy for sure.

Owners of Greyhound and Trainer of the Year Titles

This week, hopefully, the Greyhound and Trainer of the Year titles can be settled. And so owners of the said titles can finally be revealed. Will it be Bubbly Totti for the Greyhound of the Year title and Mark Wallis for Trainer of the Year? It’s so exciting to know.

Well, many greyhound racing and betting enthusiasts believed that the St Leger winner Bubbly Totti will bag the Greyhound of the Year title. Finally, Totti’s credentials for the said title can be placed on the line in the last major six-bend event of 2008 at Romford, the Essex Vase.

So far, Bubbly Totti is matching the likes of Flying Winner, Boherna Best, Lenson Joker, and Tyrur Kieran for the top place.

According to trainer Ted Soppitt, Totti has trialled well over the 575m trip and will travel down from the trainer’s Durham for each of the three rounds of the competition. On Friday, Totti will be up for any challenge.

For two years, the Essex Vase has been won by Eye Onthe Veto, who still by now, wants to taste third victory in the said event.

While for the Trainer of the Year title, person in the name of Mark Wallis is now the most supported trainer for the said title. Due to the victory of Eye Onthe Veto, Wallis has been believed to be the perfect bagger of the title Trainer of the Year.

In 2006, Wallis has already won the ‘league’ but was defeated by Charlie Lister in 2007. Now, Lister lies in the second place, so Wallis has great chances of regaining the title. For Wallis, victory can be sweeter the second time around.
