Many racegoers have been waiting for the final list of greyhound participants as well as trainers of Group 1 Fields who will vie for the first prize money which amounted to $175,000. The final list came through from the best 80 greyhounds nominated who competed in the preludes.

Greyhounds will be up for over 515 metres at Sandown Park today, 27th of October 2008. Event comes with a prize money with a total of $250,000. $175,000 will go to the winner, $50,000 to the second placer, and $25,000 to the third placer. A lot of things are expected from the greyhound and trainer participants so watch out!

With a ton of early pace, Hanify’s Impact seems just right to take the lead at 2008 Group 1 Melbourne Cup field to the first corner after drawing the sought after rails alley at Saturday’s box draw. In last weeks heat, beginning from box 2, Hanify’s Impact led smoothly with a 5.09 first sectional time. Compared to other finalists, Hanify’s Impact is quicker. Kendale Bale, next in line was with 5.18.

While Thompson who’s racing under the cloud of El Galo’s positive swab in the Group 1 Topgun, most likely down for first and second after his Nitro Burst, his second Melbourne Cup aspirant, in box three drew well.

Made To Size drawn in which made Nitro Burst settled inside box two. Thus, Nitro Burst could have also a great chance if he coveted some room to move as Made To Size ran the second slowest first section of the Melbourne Cup finalists in last weeks heats from box 4.

At Sandown, after running a slashing third in the Group 3, Made To Size has been improving significantly. The Melbourne Cup final will be his third look at Sandown. His natural hard railing strong finish will be impossible to hold out as he has the power and ideal to get the rail in behind Hanify’s Impact.
