Mr. Souris said also as revealed by the reports: “The panel must be satisfied that the applicant has experience in a senior administrative role or experience at a senior level in one or more of the fields of business, finance, law, marketing, technology, commerce, regulatory administration or regulatory enforcement. People are ineligible if they are employees of a club or members of the governing body of a club and those appointed to the board will serve a maximum term of eight years.”

Mr. Souris wished to introduce a new selection panel also for good business continuity that would also be for the greyhound racing industry. The selection panel may really be able to recommend candidates that would be good members of the governing greyhound racing body, the GRNSW. The members of the selection panel may just find the best candidates for GRNSW. There would be things that only the members of GRNSW with good experience can do. They must also be accomplished. It would be very important to have the members only with good experience. Mr. Souris seemed positive. It seemed very significant to have the selection panel for the business continuity that must be also achieved. The selection panel may just help achieve it.

Mr. Souris, in addition, said: “I greatly appreciate the contribution of the members of the independent selection panel and I am confident they will recommend the best people to lead the greyhound racing industry.”

Mr. Brent Hogan of GRNSW said: “The success of the Country Challenge shows how the sport of Greyhound Racing is thriving at the grassroots level. GRNSW decided to have the official schedule for the 2012 Country Challenge also to give the participants relief from the problems with the schedules of greyhound races. They would be allowed to even be in the K.S. Black & Co. Country Challenge Showdown freely. The revised calendar would be helpful to them, really helping them make it to the greyhound races without any trouble. It would be one for them to also be simply thankful for.

Mr. Percy Allan was also very happy with the Greenhounds program being part of the Greyhound Racing New South Wales or GRNSW and own ongoing commitment. It was said that GRNSW pledged and continues to pledge commitment to also help greyhounds achieve a better kind of life. They will be deserving of it. The said program will be very helpful. It will only really prove that they can have a life away from the racing tracks. They can also be in the usual venues where people just do ordinary things, say walking. Minister Don Page said: “For too long greyhound owners and adopters have battled the stereotype that the breed is an aggressive animal because it has had to wear a muzzle at all times while in public. This law and the Greenhounds program will change that perception and will no doubt encourage more pet lovers to choose a greyhound as one of their own.”

The Greenhounds program will be helpful to greyhounds. It will let them be around public places without muzzle, only with special green collar. After qualifying, they will be given the collar that they can wear when they are out. It will be provided, and will be with a Greenhounds tag that will contain a microchip number. Owners of greyhounds can already start trying the said program. Professor Percy Allan of Greyhound Racing New South Wales said: “The retiring opportunities for racing greyhounds will increase through Greenhounds as it allows the breed to be re-trained and assimilate into a family household environment. Professor Percy Allan of GRNSW said: “The GRNSW board reserve the right to review Mudgee’s registration and check that the money pledged has actually eventuated when the club is due to apply for its annual re-registration at the end of the year. Should the sponsorship money that has been pledged not be forthcoming, Mudgee’s financial position may once again be in question.”

For GRNSW, the lifting of the Mudgee & District Greyhound Racing Club suspension on its registration must happen after also learning about the important sponsorship that it will have that it can use for financial matters. But the said sponsorship must be received first before the suspension will be completely ruled out.

The significant sponsorship must be acquired by the Mudgee & District Greyhound Racing Club. The said sponsorship will allow it to continue with all its trials and races. It was pledged and racing fans must only wish it will be really provided. It will be very helpful. But if ever it will not be available, it can still look for another one that will be provided as promised. It will have the sponsorship that will also help it to just continue with its trials and races all for the sake of the happiness of all racing fans. But hopefully, it will really have the sponsorship promised earlier. If ever it will not receive it, it will need to again stop with everything. And everyone from all of the support groups will be very happy with the upgrade being very helpful. But everybody will need to wait for three months to know if it will also really help. It was said that the enhancement will be completed in three months.

Dr. Daniel said: “I’m looking forward to developing GRNSW’s on-course veterinary team and working with industry members to deliver our raceday services on a statewide basis that will ensure GRNSW remains at the forefront of greyhound welfare.”

And the two greyhound specialists will be helpful to GRNSW. Dr. Daniel will take the newly-created position of Head Racing Veterinarian and Dr. O’Keefe will have the Health and Welfare Manager position also for the promotion of the welfare of racing greyhounds. And both will really help the organization. And having them will be good for the association. Chief Executive Brent Hogan must be also delighted with them accepting the offer to be part of the organization and be helpful. Most likely, for the boss, they have the experience that will also help them do everything also for the good of racing greyhounds most especially in NSW. They will also be really helpful to the association.

It was said that the GRNSW Stewards will need to do the new positive swab inquiries with Diesel Roc and Sunshine Fury. And they must start with the investigations the soonest possible. Diesel Roc won at a Dubbo greyhound meeting on June 16 of 2011 and week later the racing greyhound also won similar meeting. And Sunshine Fury won at a Coonabarabran greyhound meeting on April 11 of this year after also winning a heat two days before.

It must be true that the GRNSW Stewards will try to do the new positive swab inquiries to also confirm positive swabs to a prohibited substance on Diesel Roc and Sunshine Fury. According to the reports, they will start with the investigations on August 23, 2011. And they can verify the positive swab to a prohibited substance on Diesel Roc soon. They can also confirm the one on Sunshine Fury in short period of time.

GRNSW Stewards must be already trying to look into all of the evidences also from doing new positive swab inquiries with Diesel Roc and Sunshine Fury. Brent Hogan of GRNSW said: “These changes will be rolled out over the vast majority of TAB tracks creating a world class integrity model to provide increased certainty and confidence to punters. The package of regulatory reforms and enhancements is consistent with a number of strategies outlined in GRNSW’s Strategic Plan Chasing 2020.”

For GRNSW, to also make greyhound racing, most especially the one in own state, be even better, the organization should adopt any new approach or the likes that will just really help. Well, according to the reports, the Stewards will be taking post race urine sample from two greyhounds which have been under supervision of Murray to actually start the said investigations. It was said that they will most likely be taking post race urine sample from Solitary Sam and Knocka Who, both greyhounds won on 30th of March 2011 at The Gardens. They will officially start making the inquiries on 2nd of June 2011 at the Maitland Greyhound Racing track.

And also recently, the Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA) Stewards also did an investigation and did involve Petar Jovanovic. And yes, after making an inquiry, he was found guilty of allowing own greyhound, which was Cascada Star, to race though not free of the anti inflammatory corticosteroid Dexamethasone. The Stewards indeed found him deserving of disqualification of at least four months for actually violating the GRSA Rules Of Greyhound Racing R83. Of course, his supporters were all saddened with his disqualification.

No doubt, supporters of Murray were also unhappy with the decision of GRNSW Stewards to do two positive swab investigations actually involving the trainer and will be also not joyful with a decision to just also disqualify him for violating a rule. But eventually, they will also understand that the Stewards must make inquiries and give disqualifications and all and not let trainers and everyone violate the rules. Yes, they will also learn to understand what the Stewards must really do also for the good of all.
