Leigh Wood seemed satisfied after the Xmas Gift Final. Ukulele Lad also performed well in the competition. There were other good runners in the competition, however, Ukulele Lad still succeeded and really impressed. Wood seemed proud of the runner. The trainer considered him promising. He would only need good guidance. He would be as successful as the others. The trainer would also provide. He would help the runner. He would just try also for the supporters who wished to see the runner truly successful.
Wood said also as confirmed by the reports: “I’m very pleased with what this dog has shown so far and hopefully he can go to the next level. This dog is home grown because the sire (Baywatch Boy) was trained by me some time ago and the broodbitch is one of mine. We got a few from the litter that can run but Ukulele Lad is clearly one out of the box. I never looked at this dog to race until he was two years old. He ticks a lot of the good boxes this dog.”
Wood seemed satisfied and only because of Ukulele Lad. The trainer had a runner that would also be truly successful. The runner would be in other competitions and would perform well. The trainer would also be there only for Ukulele Lad. He would just help the runner. The supporters would also wait. The runner would need to be truly successful for his supporters. He would need to succeed even against other good runners in other competitions.
Wood, in addition, said: “He is very sensible, he is a good beginner and has good early speed plus he’s got good midrace pace and he’s strong at the finish. There’s not much more you would want from a dog. From the first day I took him to the racetrack I knew he’d make the grade.”
