Yes, the Temora Cup meeting was re-scheduled. It was actually scheduled to happen Sunday afternoon however because of torrential rain it was called off and was re-scheduled.
The meeting should have covered eight finals if only it happened. But then, no need for everyone to despair, as on March 14, hopefully it will finally take place and cover eight finals.
There were two non-final events that were scheduled supposedly for last Sunday afternoon but naturally they were abandoned. The Club then was open to some new nominations in accordance to the 457m graded events. And until now, it is still actually open to these nominations. On March 10, it will finally be close to any of these.
NSW TAB and Sky Channel will cover the much awaited meeting. Thus, it will be covered well.
However, NSW GBOTA Area Director Bill Schwencke became disappointed about the cancellation of the meeting last Sunday. Everyone then seemed in great anticipation to only realize that it was called off and re-scheduled. But on the good side, Schwencke was still optimistic about the meeting.
“The fields are of excellent quality and will be attractive to punters,” Schwencke said. “It’s just that punters will have to be on the job a little earlier than usual.”
May there be no torrential rain or any other reasons that can once again call off the Temora Cup meeting. Everyone has been waiting for it to happen. But then, anything can happen, just like we always say. There are some other things that can just cancel the meeting once again but let us just be optimistic. We should hope for the best, for the meeting to actually take place finally. Everyone has been waiting for it to happen so it should happen. Let us all hope that everything falls into place.
