The Gary Greig-trained Tasmanian pups Octane Assassin and Showtime will actually be on a trip to Sydney next week for their preparations for the famous Group 1 Paws of Thunder series. The talented Tasmanian pups will go through serious preparations under Greig.
Well, the dogs have been doing well in the Tassie tracks, with both dogs being ultimate racers at Devonport. And a lot of greyhound enthusiasts must be really anticipating that they will be seriously prepared by their trainer for another good performance in Tassie tracks.
Octane Assassin quickly raced in the 452-meter circuit on a Tuesday for a great grade four event win. And the racer did manage to stop the clock at 25.56.
Greig said: “He is an exciting dog but he’s still learning.”
Greig admitted that Octane Assassin is still learning. But for sure the trainer has found good potential in the dog and so willing to work seriously on the dog.
At his two most recent races in Hobart, Octane Assassin indeed started as favorite. He was only second to Mr Issues in the heat and final of the Betfair Young Star Classic. But then he did well considering he was not that experienced yet.
While Showtime won heat of the Young Star Classic and placed self at third place in the final. And on a Tuesday, at Devonport, he was successful to stop clock at 25.92.
It appears to some that Showtime has faultless box manners. For us, it also seems like the racer has such manners considering his five wins out of six starts.
The two can simply make it at the Group 1 Paws of Thunder series most especially with the confirmation on their trip to Sydney next week for their preparations for the said series. They can simply do so with help of the trip.
