Owner Geoff Dawson and trainer Maureen Stephens will definitely not forget August of this year when their Victorian sprinter Stepping Stone for his brilliant performance at the Meadows on August 28 indeed earned the title AGRA’s Run of the Month for August 2010. Both were truly happy the previous month when their very own Stepping Stone managed to deliver an amazing performance and then beaten many other good racers for the AGRA’s Run of the Month title for August 2010.
The racer had the red box but then did not use it to his advantage and so almost failed to make it. However, he managed to have a come from behind win at the Meadows to earn the Run of the Month title for August 2010. And Dawson and Stephens were glad with how their racer did at the Meadows which eventually made him earn the title that many other good racers had been pursuing.
Stepping Stone only started to race in August 2009 but since then he has been actually showing consistency. It seems that he has been mastering how to win at the Meadows and Sandown. Well, he has won five city races at the Meadows and Sandown.
Stepping Stone is a December 2007 Black dog by Bombastic Shiraz from Omega Brook. He is owned by Dawson and trained by Stephens from Yuroke in Victoria. In total, he has seven wins and seven placings and these are out of the 23 starts he had. And so far, he has $28,420 for his connections.
At this point, Stepping Stone also now belongs to the list of racers who have delivered a really good run this 2010. Racers who made it to the list before Stepping Stone include Pedrosa, Velocity Cloud, Dashing Corsair, Nellie Noodles, Drill Em’, Blue Lorian and Goodesy.
