Owner Terry Kingcott and trainer Anthony Azzopardi were so glad with the recent great achievement of the New South Wales sprinter. Smooth Fancy recently earned the AGRA’s Greyhound of the Month title for August 2010.
Well, maybe both Kingcott and Azzopardi have expected that their Smooth Fancy will be getting the AGRA’s Greyhound of the Month title for August as in the said month, out of three starts the racer had two wins and a second, including of course the unforgettable victory in the National Sprint Championship at Angle Park.
The Anthony Azzopardi-trained racer has been actually showing how good he can be at the race track. Way back in May, he showed he can really be good at Wentworth Park by stopping the clock at 29.75. Back in July, he did also same thing at Sandown by completing the battle at 34.44. And this month, he did great at Wentworth Park once again though only finished second to Did I Entertain and at Angle Park made it to record 30.04.
Smooth Fancy is a November 2007 Black dog by Collision from Flash Fancy. He is raced by Kingcott and trained by Azzopardi. So far, he has raced at 26 events and out of these 26 has recorded 13 wins and seven placings. And he has already earned $96,040 for his connections.
Kingcott and Azzopardi were so glad with the recent achievement of Smooth Fancy. The racer beaten Group 1 winner and last month’s AGRA greyhound of the month Blue Lorian for this month’s title. He also beaten group 3 winners Mr. Metz and Winsome Gun.
Of course, we want to congratulate both Kingcott and Azzopardi for handling the trainings so well. Smooth Fancy earned the AGRA’s Greyhound of the Month title for August because of their goodness in handling such trainings.
