Smith Disappointed With L&Q Not Meeting Morton

Duncan SmithDuncan Smith has been seriously supporting SOS campaign for some time now. And with London & Quadrant not meeting Bob Morton, Smith failed not to give reaction to what happened. The British politician actually expressed his disappointment with L&Q deciding not to meet the three-time Derby-winning owner when he actually encouraged the two sides to meet for possible good land deal.

According to reports, L&Q wanted more details of the bid before meeting can happen. Morton recently revealed a bid for the land.

Smith said: ā€œI’m disappointed that L&Q has decided not to meet Bob Morton to discuss his offer in more depth, particularly in the light of my conversation with the chief executive of L&Q, who assured me that he would take seriously any offers made for the site. I urge L&Q to follow through on this promise and meet Bob Morton as soon as possible.ā€

Well, since after Stow was sold to L&Q by the owning Chandler family, Smith has been a determined supporter of the SOS campaign. The British politician has been doing certain things just to help in the campaign. And recently, he tried to urge L&Q and Morton to meet after a bid for the land was introduced. He encouraged the two sides to meet to talk about the bid and maybe have settlement. Thus, many people understood why Smith failed not to give reaction to what happened. He has been into the SOS campaign and he has been doing certain things just to extend help. However, L&Q opted not to meet Morton though actually chief executive of L&Q once assured him any offers made for the site will be taken seriously. It was disappointing for the British politician and we feel that L&Q understood if he failed not to give reaction to what happened.
