Schweppes Melbourne Cup Final has been a much awaited event. Same thing with its Group 1 Fields.

Many racegoers have been waiting for the final list of greyhound participants as well as trainers of Group 1 Fields who will vie for the first prize money which amounted to $175,000. The final list came through from the best 80 greyhounds nominated who competed in the preludes.

Greyhounds will be up for over 515 metres at Sandown Park today, 27th of October 2008. Event comes with a prize money with a total of $250,000. $175,000 will go to the winner, $50,000 to the second placer, and $25,000 to the third placer. A lot of things are expected from the greyhound and trainer participants so watch out!
