We can all remember that just weeks ago the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club announced the track work and middle distance installation that must be done at the club’s racing venue. And this track work and middle distance installation, according to news reports, at this point can be actually considered done.
The racing surface of the club’s racing venue was replaced with Burrumbeet sand just as planned. It is now akin to the racing surface of The Meadows, Ballarat, Warrnambool and even the new Warragul circuit. And the starting boxes at 595m racing distance were installed.
But now, the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club is up for another project involving the Henry Harrison Grandstand.
The club has recently announced the renovation of the Henry Harrison Grandstand to be true. And the works, according to the club will start on April 6.
The contractor would be GMB Constructions and this contractor will work on some short-term impacts in terms of capacity, will indeed make the maximum capacity of the dining room to 120 diners and will work on the closure of the current area for general public.
Also, the contractor will also make full tote and snack bar facilities available to the general public in the current committee or Terrace dining room area.
Trials on the new track were decided to start on March 27, the racing at Sandown Park to resume on April 8 and the Sunday race meetings to start on April 11.
Well, the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club obviously just wants the best for own racing venue. Thus, for some time now, the club has actually been into certain projects.
