Racing Events Called Off Due to Ongoing Freezing Weather

Unfortunately, some racing events were called off because of the ongoing freezing weather. These events were a part of the greyhound racing program that was greatly affected by the weather problem.

The morning Bags programme of Sunderland is something that is worth mentioning above any other. It was greatly affected by the ongoing freezing weather, currently not pushed through. And next are the main evening meetings that should have taken place at Belle Vue and Hove, they were also badly affected by the unlikely weather.

While Sittingbourne that was supposedly about to stage the only open racing on Thursday had to abandon its card on safety grounds of trainers as well as bettors going to and from the track shortly just before noon time.

Graded meeting of Oxford was also called off and the track cancelled the Bags meeting on Friday. Given the short notice, there will be most likely no replacement.

And the Poole’s track is frozen and therefore can’t also hold racing events even on Friday. While whether or not the morning Bags meeting of Hove will be pushed through on Friday is still very dependent on an inspection.

It seems like it is not a good start of the year for all who are into greyhound racing and betting, with some significant greyhound events being called off because of weather problem. They should be having a good start of the year 2010 all with the fun and thrill such greyhounds events can offer. But then, the weather condition is not something that they can do something about. If it will be good, or else be bad, it is something that is actually beyond their control.

Hopefully, the weather improves soon so no more good greyhound events will be called off. Action at racing tracks should just continue.
