Pedro Pronto Won in the Bob Brown Memorial

Pedro ProntoThe smart dog Pedro Pronto was successful last week in the event considered as the Thousand consolation, the Bob Brown Memorial. It was at the Tattersall’s Park and what was at stake then was more than $3000.

Pedro Pronto’s win was some consolation for his connections. But then just worth mentioning that beforehand, he actually missed a berth in the Group 1 Hobart Thousand. However, he of course managed to make each post a winner in the one great race.

The race has been actually like a tribute to the late Bob Brown who is considered as one of the seniors in the Tasmanian greyhound racing.

Trainer Robert Grubb was given recognition by Ross Brown, one of the sons of Brown, for the accomplishment of such good racer.

All that the trainer just said was, “winning the Bob Brown Memorial is special to me because I knew the man well and he was an industry icon”.

From box five, Pedro Pronto got out with speed and then resisted strength of High Choice that was almost a length astern back then with the favourite Accounts 1-1/4 lengths away third.

At this point, the dog has earned almost $30,000 from his 18 wins out of 41 starts, and from 12 minor placings.

But more than the prize, more than the money, it is winning the one prestigious racing event that counts. The Bob Brown Memorial is for Bob Brown who is one of the industry’s most respected people.

Pedro Pronto is doing good considering his achievement in the said event. Well, he might just continue to do good and go further in terms of accomplishments. His trainer must have been so proud of him and of what he has actually been showing everyone who is into greyhound racing and betting.
