The NSW Greyhound Breeders Owners & Trainers Association or NSW GBOTA wished to promote special soccer competition. Do You Think You Can Score would also be a soccer competition to be engaged in. Even the greyhound racing enthusiasts would really have a good time only in the soccer competition. There would also be a chance to walk away with $1,000 for one penalty shot against a NSW Premier League goalkeeper.

Sam Vardakas, who first thought of offering Do You Think You Can Score, said also as revealed by the reports: “This promotion is like no other, it could be a first. It offers so many chances for the cash to be won.”
