On Friday night, at the Cowra Motors Greyhound Racing NSW Country Challenge Final over 524m, a crowd was left in awe when Kite Street emerged victorious over the local champion Dana Beatrice. Street’s triumph was considered by many as really magical considering that Beatrice appeared the winner for each inch of the 524m dash but of course ended up taking later burst of Street.
Both Glen Enfield and Wayne Whiting were surprised with the outcome of the Cowra Motors Greyhound Racing NSW Country Challenge Final but then the former has little different thoughts compared to the latter.
Enfield can be remembered saying, “I didn’t think she would lead and I didn’t think she would run them down, but the rest is history”. While Whiting, “we know she can come home strong and she’s never been beaten over the 600 at Bathurst. She’s a real strong dog”. Both may have faith on Street but one may have just more faith on her.
With Street upstaging Beatrice, the exciting series was most likely given a fitting finish. It has showcased some brilliant racing happenings, so what happened on Friday night was just right for it as its ending.
Cowra Motors Greyhound Racing NSW Country Challenge can be considered over for now. But then, its recent final event will keep on playing on the minds of the greyhound racing and betting enthusiasts who were all there in the crowd. Same also as Kite Street which has proven own worth in the industry. But then of course, Beatrice is not totally a big loser. As a racing greyhound, she has also proven own worth in the industry. The final event is most likely not just for her to dominate. For sure, there’ll be events upcoming that fate save for her to conquer. She is a one good racing greyhound, thus she is also very capable of upstaging another of her kind.
