It is confirmed that the Hobart Greyhound Racing Club will host two big national events, the 2012 National Sprint and Distance Championships and the National Hall of Fame. Well, first the addition of the 710-metre boxes at Tattersall’s Park just allowed the HGRC to host the 2012 National Sprint and Distance Championships.
The HGRC has not hosted a National Sprint or Distance final since 1987 and so the club must be just so into hosting the big event though will happen not too soon.
“The club is very excited about hosting the Nationals again and while it is two years away there is a lot of planning that goes into running this event so we’ve started planning last week,” HGRC chairman Denise Fysh said.
And HGRC will also be hosting the National Hall of Fame that is typically held about six months after every National Sprint and Distance series and is usually held in the same state where the big races taken place.
“The Hall of Fame is such a huge event in itself these days so naturally we are extremely excited about hosting that event as well,” Fysh said. “We have such great facilities here in Hobart these days and that is going to give us the chance to successfully host two very big national events.”
Hopefully everything will turn out to be fine. But most likely it will be the case as like what Fysh said HGRC now has great facilities. It will give the club the capacity to successfully host two huge national events. And we believe that the club will prepare even more. The club will surely not waste the great chance to host two big national events. We feel that everything will most likely turn out to be fine. But still we wish the club luck.
