Greyhounds to Be Headlining the Race Field of Ballarat’s Morshead Park

Wednesday, race field of Ballarat’s Morshead Park was expected to be filled in by punters who’ll be up for a treat for a field of quality chasers that was assembled in the Petstock Free for All over 450 metres.

It was also expected to be filled in by greyhound with good track record. One with being a reigning Cup winner, track record holder, and so on. To be headlining the race were said to be Birthday Boy, Mogambo and local greyhounds Pure Conquest and Fitzy Bale.

Birthday Boy is the reigning Geelong Cup winner. He has a race record of 10 wins and 9 second placings from only 22 race which makes him a good chaser.

Mogambo on the other hand is the present track record holder for 550 metres at Ballarat, and has also made a sensational record of 24.89 seconds over the race distance. Mogambo with his quick moves most likely was believed to end up winning the race.

While Napoleons greyhound Pure Conquest in now in the best form. At her last two victories, she had run exceptionally. Thus, she was expected to jump from the coveted Box 1 draw and will give a good run.

Finally, Fitzy Bale, Lake Goldsmith greyhound, was believed to make a good account of himself although he has drawn awkwardly in Box 6. Bale has natural performing ability so many have faith on him.
