Greyhound Racing NSW or GRNSW made an announcement the other day regarding their partnership with Betfair. The organization actually confirmed partnership with the popular betting firm.
Betfair will indeed be the naming rights sponsor of the NSW Greyhound of the Year awards for the next two years as well as of the NSW Blue Paws Breeders and Owners Incentive Scheme. The firm will play a very important role no doubt.
And aside from being the naming rights sponsor of the awards events and the Scheme, Betfair will also be the official betting exchange partner of GRNSW, also for the next two years.
Brent Hogan, the GRNSW Chief Executive, believed that the partnership with Betfair will bring out good results particularly in growing the betting appeal of NSW greyhounds across all domestic markets and presence worldwide.
Mr. Hogan actually said that, “a partnership with Betfair makes business sense”. The firm can do a lot of things in exposing the products of GRNSW to a wider market. And that the firm is also like GRNSW in terms of approach.
The partnership is of course binded by a sort of a contract to keep everything settled. And also by something like an Integrity Deed that will set the standard in cooperation and formation sharing between the two to actually aid in ensuring the integrity of greyhound racing in general.
Betfair seems like delighted at the same time with regards to the partnership. Andrew Twaits, Chief Executive Officer of Betfair Australasia, said that “Betfair is delighted to form a partnership with such a progressive body with an appetite for growth and business development. The arrangement with GRNSW allows us to support programs and events at a state level and will eventually allow us take NSW Greyhound Racing to a much broader domestic and international audience”.
