A lot of people now in the greyhound racing industry are mourning because of the death of the industry’s biggest bookmaker for many years, Tony Morris. Many people are currently grieving because of the death of this great man who has played a big role for many years in the industry that now actually considered well loved by many.
Morris died at 73 because of leukemia. He did everything to overcome such illness but then last Sunday, at 73, he lost in the battle.
Morris can be considered as an institution particularly in the Wimbledon ring until his retirement just before Christmas. And he will always be remembered by the people into racing and even betting.
And it is just so true that a lot of people now in the greyhound racing industry are mourning because of Morris’ death. But this bookmaker’s business partner and great friend must be the one greatly affected by such unfortunate happening.
But naturally, John Humphreys has only the good things to say.
“We enjoyed a long and very enjoyable partnership,” said Humphreys. “Tony loved greyhound racing. He loved standing on that stool.”
It will never be easy for us people to let go of the people we really love. But then, we can’t do anything about it and just have to deal with it with great courage. We just have to do what is right to also let the people who left us do what they have to do or be up to the things they should just be.
At times, people leave because they need to. Often there’s good purpose or reason. Thus, when people leave, we should just learn to deal with it without much trouble inside of us. Leaving is often also moving into a better place, this we should all put in our mind.
