The Goulburn Greyhound Racing Club is currently up to a project on its greyhound track and for this the Club needs financial assistance from local and state governments. The project that hopes to provide greyhound racing enthusiasts a new kennel block and judge’s tower must be completed as soon as possible.
However, the project can be considered costly, with it costing as much as $945,000. The Greyhound Racing New South Wales or GRNSW is the one in-charge to financially support the said project. However, it can’t do so alone.
Thus, local and state governments should give financial assistance so the Goulburn project be finally completed.
Chairman of the Board Professor Percy Allan AM explained that it should be their obligation to support the said project however they can’t support it most especially alone just considering it being costly. The Chairman explained that they don’t have enough funds to support it all alone, thus they need aid from other sectors.
“The Goulburn City Council had previously indicated their willingness to support the project in part as it forms part of their long term plans for a larger redevelopment of the site,” Professor Allan said.
The Chairman knew beforehand that they would really need the help of other sectors to be able to complete the Goulburn project.
“For the greyhound facilities we will be asking the Goulburn City Council and the NSW State Government to share in providing the cost of the redevelopment with each chipping in a third of the cost,” Professor Allan added. “GRNSW will provide a third and also cover any over-runs on the original costing.”
The Goulburn project will actually provide greyhound racing enthusiasts a new kennel block and judge’s tower if will only be completed. Thus the other sectors, local and state governments, just have the good reason to say yes to the aid that’s badly needed now. The project just needs to be completed!
