GOBATA Now Looking For Means to Save Coventry All for the Racers

CoventryYes, all for the sake of racers, the newly-formed group of owners and trainers GOBATA now seeking for possible means to save Coventry, to save the Midlands venue.

According to one Coventry insider, “the word is that Martin White and his associates are looking into the possibility of saving Coventry. It would certainly be a feather in their cap as they are trying to emerge as a real voice of the grass roots of greyhound racing”.

However, one person from the Coventry admitted that the place has been an unlikely place to work for a while because of the changes in management. Another Coventry insider said, “we had all the changes of management about 18 months ago, and the damage caused then has been tough to repair”.

Changes in management will always affect the people under it. We can just imagine what people under management of Coventry went through to overcome the odds brought by the changes.

However, the insider also realized that Coventry is a one great track for racers most especially for their galloping stunts. Insider said, “the irony is that this place is so, so popular with trainers. It’s a great galloping track, with a very low injury-rate. It’d make a great BAGS track, in the right hands”.

The Coventry might be saved but then of course, it might not also be saved. The group GOBATA is a newly-formed group and so it might not still have the connections in the industry. However, anything can happen if the group will just really try to find the means to save the place. We can just hope for the best for the group, for the Coventry.

Hope we can get a good news soon that GOBATA succeeded and Coventry restored and finally once again good to continue operations.
