It is true, free trials at the new track of Maitland were offered. And the greyhound owners and trainers of course were happy to be given the chance to have free trials at Maitland’s new track by the NSW GBOTA.
Well, NSW GBOTA Executive Officer Brenton Scott actually confirmed that local management decided to make the first trial session at the new track of Maitland free of charge. According to Scott, the owners and trainers can test their greyhound or greyhounds at Maitland’s new track for free on July 2. The free trials were confirmed to be true after the completion of works at the said track was foreseen to be already finalized by the last weekend of June.
“Whilst the installation of the transition turn is a subtle rather than major change to the track configuration, the local Management Committee is keen to see as many greyhounds as possible put it to the test and so free trials will apply on July 2 from 7.30am to 11.30am,” Scott explained.
Field and single trials in all distances will be available and the tickets for these trials will be provided on arrival. On July 3 however the morning trial session will be with the normal fee structure.
Maitland will indeed return to racing with the twilight meetings on July 8 and July 9 with the nomination closing times being for July 8 with GRNSW at 12 Noon on July 5 and then for July 9 with GRNSW at 12 Noon on July 6.
Good thing that there will be free trials at the new track at Maitland. Greyhound owners and trainers can trial their greyhound or greyhounds for free. They can actually try racing their greyhound or greyhounds at the said track free of charge, something to just take advantage of.
