On a Thursday night, speedy Victorian Flash Of Light was able to again impress everyone with a great victory when the bitch beaten some other brilliant racers to win the $25,000-to-the-winner final of the Group 2 McKenna Memorial of 595m at Sandown Park.
Flash Of Light started as a $2.60 favorite and then just continued to do well in the race to secure a great victory. Daughter of Premier Fantasy actually finished one and three-quarter lengths in front of Pulp, the rising young racer.
Flash Of Light and Zambola Bale jumped almost perfectly at the start of the race and then dominated it until middle part. However, Craig Chappelow-trained Pulp was able to get in and also perform well to stop one of the two from dominating. Pulp earned the second place while Zambola Bale only got the third place. Flash Of Light had the first place of course. The racer was not stopped by Pulp from dominating, thus ended up with the first place. The racer’s time was 34.24.
As of now, Flash Of Light has an impressive record of 31 wins from 64 career starts which just include the Group races hat-trick after the Group 2 Rookie Rebel at The Meadows and the Group 3 Dawson at Sandown Park. Currently, Flash Of Light has $222,000 earnings.
Flash Of Light, after winning the $25,000-to-the-winner final of the Group 2 McKenna Memorial of 595m at Sandown Park, was then prepared for the next big race, the Group 2 Macro Meats Megastar of 520m set to happen at the Dapto at the end of the month.
