Dyna Lachlan Named as AGRA’s Greyhound of the Month for January

Dyna LachlanGreyhound racing fans and even bettors who have long been waiting for the name of the greyhound to win the AGRA’s Greyhound of the Month award for January can now stop from waiting and all as the greyhound to win the said award was finally unveiled. It was Dyna Lachlan, the New South Wales owned and Victorian trained sprinter.

In 2009, Dyna Lachlan didn’t make it at Group 1 but actually almost made it. This 2010, he seems in good form, just with a good start in his race to success by winning the Interstate Challenge. The event took place at Angle Park, January 27. In his Adelaide Cup semi chasing, home local Where’s Diamond narrowly beaten him in 29.86. He recorded 29.50. In the final he did well, jumping straight to the front and later ending with an outstanding lead, accomplishing his first Group 1 success.

Dyna Lachlan beaten Strictly Mambo and Mr. Metz. The final can really be a memorable one but time for such event was 29.48 3/100th slower compared to that of last year. And it came with sectional splits of 4.37 and a fast 16.73.

Dyna Lachlan can be expected in the Group 1 Temlee Invitational at the Meadows this February 13. He will be from the box 5 and will run with some greyhound stars.

Considering Dyna Lachlan’s performance in the Adelaide Cup, he seems to be at his best and so has more chances of getting another win at the Meadows next week. But of course, his followers and those betting for him should consider the odds of losing as well.

Dyna Lachlan is raced by Paul Wheeler and trained by the popular Andrea Dailly. He already raced for 37 times and won for 22 times and earned placing for 9 times. In total, he has $271,555 stake earnings.
