Liz McNair’s Gymcrack winner, Droopys Bogart, turned out to be the quickest among all of the Betfair Arc aspirants at Swindon on Tuesday. Among all of the greyhounds that trialled, the McNair star, was the one that recorded the best time.
Droopys Bogart, cut the first bend hard en-route to record 28.98sec the sole sub-29-second run of the session after actually running from trap six in solo trial over the Arc’s course of over 480 metres.
The McNairs also trialled Shaws Dilemma at Swindon on Tuesday. Shaws Dilemma is an Oaks winner. And the bitch actually ran pretty well, recording 29.19sec.
Seamus Cahill was also into the event then, thus putting a number of his Arc contenders through their potentials.
In a solo from trap three, Seamus Cahill’s Gilbeyhall Jack posted 29.31sec. And the other, Challengingtimes was able to overcome kennelmate Sparklee Berniein in a time of 29.30sec.
While Foyle Major was the better than Stand Up by half a length in 29.74sec. The trial event really seemed like a contentious affair after the pair arrived together at the corner.
And to also mention, Cahill’s Carden Bert defeated Toems Champ by three lengths in 16.30sec in a trial over a course of 285 meters.
The event at Swindon on Tuesday seemed like an event of the McNairs and of Seamus Cahill. No doubt, both Droopys Bogart and Shaws Dilemma did well, have recorded a good time. And Gilbeyhall Jack, Foyle Major and Carden Bert also did well, have also recorded a good time. But who will dominate the much-awaited event? It is still for us all to know who. Meanwhile, let us just be excited for it. Let us just wonder for now, what will really happen at Betfair’s big event and who will really dominate it.
