Damek Resumed From Injury

June Phillips, one of the owners and breeders of Damek, confirmed in late May that Damek earned an injury at The Meadows and it was assessed, then it was found out that nothing to really worry about it however it will warrant treatment for a period of time.

Philips said: “The injury isn’t anything major but enough to warrant treatment over a period of a couple of weeks. We expect to have him home in Tasmania towards the end of the month and he should be back racing soon after.”

And now, we are just happy to hear that the Tasmanian star was able to return to racing after getting an injury. And we are glad to hear that the star racer managed to not just return but to actually return with an impressive victory at Devonport on Tuesday.

The Tasmanian racer quickly jumped to the front from box six and then held on to win against the likes of Kialdu Donna and Till Buster.

At Devonport on Tuesday, Damek clocked splits of 7.98 seconds and12.72s for a total time of 25.50s. For many of the greyhound’s fans, it was a great performance from the greyhound considering the greyhound was from an injury then. It was outside of his personal best on the track of 25.23 but then he was actually from an injury then.

Phillips and the others must have taken really good care of Damek so the Tasmanian racer was able to return to racing and not simply return but return with an impressive victory. They are worth commending now for this. And of course, Damek also cooperated and so was able to have a really good come back for everyone. We believe Damek is such a great dog. Phillips and his fellow caretakers must be happy to have a dog like Damek.
