Breeder’s Classic final will have three from World’s Finest litter, news reports have confirmed. It will have Damek, Decembrist and Daegan from the litter of World’s Finest.
And the event is just set to offer the three a winner’s check of $5000 and a breeder’s bonus of $4500. This, according to many, is to actually make things even more exciting in Launceston next week.
But of course, the contenders don’t have exact idea about the prize that they can win if ever. And they will just try to reach the end of the race with flying colors without any prize in mind, particularly the clear standout of the litter, Damek, he will just surely do so.
In fact, Damek recently just did so in a certain semi-final event and it was despite him being dragged down from behind and eventually hitting the first turn midfield on the rails.
He was able to reach the end of the race with flying colors for he was able to recover then and be ahead of the others. But naturally, what he experienced during the race caused breeder-owner June Phillips to take a gasp.
“You can’t help but take a gasp when something like that happens,” said Phillips. But in addition, “He went down on his haunches and it takes a special dog to overcome that sort of interference. He was checked out thoroughly and thankfully he took no harm from the incident.”
Phillips might not have anything else to ask for, Damek is around. However, the owner-breeder is also glad to have Decembrist and Daegan which also make things so wonderful.
Phillips might not have anything else to actually ask for. It’s obvious with the things this owner-breeder has said.
“It is great to have three from the one litter into a Breeders Classic final and it’s the first time it’s happened for us,” said Phillips.
