New Zealand Shootout race is already on Thursday, 26th of November 2008. Four of the best greyhounds of New Zealand are up for the said race and are expected to play at their best to win the luring prize money that happens to be $60,000.

For sure, four of the best greyhounds in New Zealand will seriously compete and vie for the prize money, so there are so many things, action to be expected. The Shootout is the only New Zealand race that doesn’t have a full field of eight dogs.”
Grove stated that owners or trainers of the invited greyhounds put up a $5000 entry fee for every dog, which GRNZ has just subsidized to $40,000 and winner takes entire $60,000. Second and third placers have nothing to win.
