Australia’s Group Winning Greyhounds All Set For the Group One Sky Racing Brisbane Cup Heats

Greyhound RacingAustralia’s Group winning greyhounds seem really all set for the Group One Sky Racing Brisbane Cup Heats as they made their way to Brisbane. The event is considered as one of Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club’s biggest events and therefore should not be surprising if it was able to attract the best greyhounds of Australia.

One of the greyhounds chasing for the $55,000 prize is Lord Ducal, last week’s Melbourne Cup winner. The star greyhound gave everyone a blow from box seven. And now at the Breakfast Creek-based track on Thursday night, he might be able to recreate his run. Cindeen Shelby, a triple Group One winner and already with Brisbane experience, also traveled to Brisbane to try own luck at the very challenging heats. Mighty Albert, the New South Wales country performer, also belonged to the list of the achievers in the greyhound racing and just so ready to make his debut in the Sunshine State after making a hot record of 30.01 win at Wentworth Park last week.

But then a sort of a home ground advantage might have a significant influence on the heats. There is Dashing Corsair that is ready for another Group One win and High Earner that will be a favorite in his heat.

Luke Gatehouse, Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club general manager, has positive views on the success of the Sky Racing Brisbane Cup, from the heats up to the finals indeed. It is actually supported by some of Australia’s champions.

Gatehouse said, “some of the best greyhounds in racing have won this prestigious race including the likes of Bogie Leigh and last year’s Australian greyhound of the year El Galo”, and that, “we have five fantastic heats which each feature Group winners, Brisbane track specialists, as well as others that are keen to give it a go”.
