For sure, 2008 will always be remembered by Riverstone trainer Richard Dean as a special year for he has so many accomplishments. The most significant among his accomplishments is his being able to raise and train competitive greyhounds like Repeated, Radio Star and Thai Alert. Next on the line is his being able to be on the top of the Wentworth Park trainers’ premiership for 2008 with an unassailable lead. Then also his being able to own a kennel which has been being envied by trainers across Australia.

In Thursday night’s heats of the Group One Sky Channel Brisbane Cup, Richard Dean’s Radio Star left him with kennel mate Repeated as his sole runner however trusts his lone hand can do the job. He trusts as well that Repeated can do it as he’s just like any of his other racers.
“We fly up Thursday morning with him for the night meeting,” Dean said. And he added, “he has never had a look there but he does handle Sandown Park well and being a railer, I expect him to handle Albion Park.”
Repeated is one of his well raised and trained greyhounds, so Dean has so much expectations from him. Dean’s just mindful of the Victorian dog Teaman Titch as he finds him so talented.
Another competitive racer of Dean, Repeated’s brother Thai Alert, returns to the New South Wales and also into the racing scene this Friday night in the last race of the programme over 400 metres. Although Thai Alert was flattened early before over 400 metres, he still has faith and hope that Thai Alert will make it.
“Thai Alert has a lousy box again, he will need luck from the 400m start so we can only watch and hope he gets through the first bend safe,” Dean said.
Aside from his greyhounds, Dean is now busy with his kennel which has been being envied by trainers across Australia. He is also mindful of him being on the top of the Wentworth Park trainers’ premiership for 2008 with an unassailable lead. 2008 is indeed a year to by remembered by him.
